Add 'Has Clicked *Any* link' in Email Behaviour Query criteria

The Query builder in WCA currently only allows a specific hyperlink to be specified when using Email Behaviour - Has/Has Not clicked on Link option. Many clients I speak to need to target individuals who have clicked on more than one link, or in some cases individuals who have clicked on *any* link in a given campaign. This means it's a very laborious process for them to create a Query with a criterion for each link (dozens of Has clicked on link x!). This function existed in the Classic Query builder and exists in the Scoring section, why is it not in the Query builder?

    Admin Response

    Hi everyone,

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and enthusiasm with us on this idea.

We are excited to let you know this functionality is now available! Within the query builder, you will see a new operator for building queries with Has/Has not clicked any link in email criteria. This new operator is also available when building queries through our API.

I cannot stress how much time this would save for our company. Great idea. It is extremely time consuming to have to specify each link for exclusion and inclusion.

Agreed; whilst Automated Behaviour Updates will give you anyone who has clicked on anything, as well as last sent and last opened, it's limited to one database, so this would be great to have as a general query operator. Most of my clients have asked for this at one time or another

I would add opened *ANY* email to this! This would be so helpful to our organization.

OH GOD YES! Or, if doing an update profile to update what links were clicked...make it possible to select multiple links, not just 1 by 1.

It would also be super handy to query on has opened an email with mailing name beginning with / ending with etc.

This idea has been suggested  for many years. It will be a huge improvement to finally bring it to conception.

This would save us so much time! Is there an estimated time for this to be completed?

I hate to be that person but this won't be useful to us in its current form - I had envisioned the link selector to be configured so that I could click multiple links from the drop-down in one operator (so, clicked this link and that link and that link, etc), not one operator for "any link" because we have what we call "bad links" - the preference center, the privacy policy, terms. We would only want to retarget on subscribers who clicked on calls to action, not footer links. I did test using this operator to see if I could create a mitigating operator to say "but has not clicked on [footer links] but it won't let me build that because all of the footer links have already been selected by the first operator of "any link". So, we won't be able to use this as-is.

As I said, what would be more useful to us is the ability to select multiple links in the "clicked link" operator. Or, for that matter, to select multiple emails in the "opened email" operator, instead of having to build long queries with dozens of operators. I will add these ideas to the forum.
