At the moment when you schedule a mailing via the web interface you can get queries to run ahead of/on send. Currently when you schedule a mailing via the API the query will always run on send. This has lead to emails being sent 20-30 minutes later than when they were scheduled.
How will this idea be used?
Most businesses will have pressure from other teams to send emails on time, and it is often necessary to use the API to schedule emails for time saving efficiency. At the moment we either have to choose between emails being sent when we schedule them, or sending using the API - why not both?
