Send Email Alerts to the front-desk team everytime a customer arrives at the airport (entered a geofence) using In real time Scoring Alerts.

Today, we can use "Scoring alerts" to send email messages in real-time when a web form is submitted, a download is made or a score is reached. However, when you try to send the same alert everytime a new user enters a program, the alert takes around 4-24hours to be sent to a specific email address.

The ideia is to let other people know when a customer entered a geofence (when a customer has arrived in the city or is getting closer to your hotel/store) and is possibly going to your direction. So, you can be prepared and leverage the Experience with your company.

Think about a Hotel front-desk/recepction getting an email letting them know that a customer is arrinving soon? They could antecipate his check-in process, receive the customer at the front door, etc.

How will this idea be used?

I have a client who wants to do two things at the same time:

1) Notify all customers who have landed at the Airport with a personalized Push Notification with the directions to the hotel the customer has a reservation.
2) Send an email message to the hotel's reception/front-desk notifying the customer who have entered the Airport Geofence has arrived in the city.

The second only works if implemented with the classic program blueprint. However, the new program blueprint is much better to work.

We, too, have had a need for real-time email distribution for alerting. Initially when implementing a solution, I attempted to rely on WCA Engage automation, but the inconsistent processing delay prevented me from using this approach.  Luckily, I have some experience with the other WCA offering, "Transact" which facilitates immediate email distribution.  The use of "Engage" is fine for the more complicated program flows that require queries and conditional flows (though the processing delays are indeed problematic).  "Transact" is provided for straight-line paths and, in our experience, yields real-time response to (API) submissions.  We rely on XML-API for both Engage and Transact.  If you rely on an API to push your GEO notification into WCA and no path logic is required, I suggest you consider the Transact approach.

P.S. We have relied on "Transact" for years to send customer Email notifications for registrations, purchase receipts, password changes, etc., all of which are straight-line, real-time actions.
