We would like to see Organization level or program level calendars, where we could set a list of dates where the program should not send any mailings. The current alternatives to this (deactivating programs or creating decision points around a continuously updated field value) are inefficient.
How will this idea be used?
It would be used to prevent programs from sending out any messages on a defined list of days (like holidays).
Example- It's November, and WidgetCo has a great new marketing program that will nurture contacts through a year of content. Unfortunately, WidgetCo's employees are too busy thinking about their own holidays to remember to shut their programs off on Thanksgiving, and then again at Christmas. If they had been able to set a Calendar on the Program or organization level, they could have avoided sending out messages on holidays, when they're much less likely to be read. If WidgetCo uses personalization for message senders, a calendar like this would also prevent the situation where it looks like Joe Smith sent out a message checking up on a customer on Christmas morning.
