BCC to be controlled at the Email Template Level

Currently BCC is controlled at the contact list or database level which is fine for customers who only  but once integrated with Campaign, contact lists are typically dynamically generated for each execution and the main database is used for a wide variety of email types, many of which don't need BCC functionality.

 

Because you can only associate UBX with a single database, that means customers cannot set up a dedicated database for regulatory emails and enable BCC only on this and also track opens/cicks etc thorough UBX and back to IBM Campaign.

 

Solution is to have BCC enabled/disabled at the mailing template level so we can control for individual mailings.

How will this idea be used?

Customer has WCA integrated with IBM Campaign and UBX.

 

A regulatory email must be sent with BCC enabled so setting is turned on at the DB level.

At the same time as the regulatory email is being sent, several other marketing and service campaigns are executed which do NOT require BCC functionality to be enabled as customer does not want the regulatory mailbox filled up with marketing crap.

 

Preventing marketing and service campaigns from being sent while a multi blast regulatory campaign is run is not practical or possible when things are automated

 

Managing BCC at the mailing level is the solution.
