Today contact insight is NOT a true snapshot of what a user received when you click to view the email. The dynamic content logic is run at the time that you open the email, not the true content that that specific user received. This is a MAJOR issue for compliance tracking.
Also, if a customer sends transactionals, sms, and mobile app messages these are not available in contact insights. There is no true 360 degree view of the customer. OM stated that this data can be exported and a report outside of WCA can do this but marketers want a true marketing automation platform that they do not have to build something outside the tool to get this view. We should be able to show if a user received a promo, transactional, shared an audience to social/DSP, sms, and mobile app message.
How will this idea be used?
In sales opps all customers want CPSs to show them how they can see a 360 degree view of customers and what type of message was sent when. If we allow customers to send email, sms, mobile app messages, social audiences, share audiences out to DSP, any UBX endpoint, this should be available in a historical view like contact insights was meant for. Contact Insights has not been updated in YEARS! we are falling behind our competition small, medium, large, enterprise ESPs are beating us in side by side comparisons because of this issue. No one wants to spend the money that we are selling WCA for without having a simple single 360 degree view of the customer.
