Two-step authentication function

In addition to user ID / password authentication, I also wish the authentication function with the confirmation code mailed. (So-called two-step authentication)

After logging in with the user ID and password in the Web UI, send the confirmation code to the user's mail address.
The user can not login without entering the code in the UI.
Make screen transition similar to input of confirmation code when logging in to WCA from new IP address.
The administrator turns ON / OFF this setting in the user account setting of the Web UI.

How will this idea be used?

In the case of using Wikid on a shared PC, when a user / password of WCA and passphrase / PIN of Wikid leaks, other person can log in, but Using above two-step authentication, only the user who receive the mail can know the code and log in to WCA.

We are actively working on changing the existing two factor authentication with wikid to use exactly what you described above.  In the next few weeks expect to see some new communications on what this change means.

In general it ties with a migration to WCA's new experience. The new two factor authentication is through IBM ID, and you can trigger an email or an SMS or verify that its really you.
