Removal from suppression list when re-opt in

If a contact has unsubscribed, they are added onto the suppression list - however, if that contact chooses to sign-up again via a newsletter sign-up form in the future, they are re-opted back into the database - but remain on the suppression list.  It would be great if they can automatically be removed from the suppression list also, to allow them to receive emails again.  Currently there is no auto method for someone to remove themselves from a suppression list.

This would be fabulous. We're currently navigating this scenario and the option appears to be making opt-out status a field in the database.  We're not fans of this due to the potential of inadvertently sending email to opted out contacts. We would much prefer the safety of having them on the master suppression list, with a mechanism that automatically removes their email address from the suppression list  if they opt back in.
