Opted Out records with valid SMS consent do not show up in queries but do send SMS

If a database record with SMS consent is opted out, queries for SMS contacts will not include the opted out record with valid SMS consent; however, when the query is used to send an SMS those Opted Out database records with valid SMS consent will still receive the SMS.

Queries for SMS need to provide an accurate count of addressable SMS contacts please.

    This needs to be fixed! Consistent counts are needed for our QA process and so we can use query volumes for addressability reporting.

    Thanks for your submission. When you say a 'database record with SMS consent is opted out' do you mean that this contact has opted-out of email?

    Thanks.

    @Sarah,

    Yes, if they have opted out of email such that their record in the database is Opted Out, the record can still receive an SMS if they are opted in to SMS.

    Thanks Reid,

    I would expect the query to return all contacts with valid SMS consent regardless of email consent. Is that your expectation?

    Sarah

    Sarah, yes. I would be ideal if a query targeting SMS opt ins returned all SMS opt ins regardless of the opt in status of their database record.

    Thanks, Reid
