Add an API call to activate/deactivate an automation program.
How will this idea be used?
Allow for automation programs to be controlled through API.
We have a client who requires an automation program to run from 9am - 7pm every day except for on Mondays. Currently we have to manually log in every Sunday after 7pm and deactivate the program. Then manually log in after 7pm on Monday evening to reactivate the program.
This relies on manual intervention which means there is a risk that it can be forgotten.
By having an API call to activate or deactivate the program we would be able to create a simple automation to trigger the API call at the right time and not need to worry about any risk of human error.
