allow content scrape in program mailings

currently you can not use the content scrape feature inside of program mailings like you can in regular mailings or AMGs. We created a "landing page" for the footer of our emails and use content scrape to add that to all mailings so that we only have to update it in one place when something changes (like the wording of legal fine print, or a banner of our current promotion). for program emails we have to manually update each template and then reconfigure each mailing to update that, a HUGE waste of time for a product with "Automation" in the name. Yes, I could put the html into a relational table and bring it in that way, but that is cumbersome and easily prone to errors as I have found.

This would help to normalize the features and capabilities of mailings across the different mailing types, adding to its consistency. We also use the content scrape to pull Landing Page Site HTML into mailings.

Content Scraping is a term I haven't heard before. Do you have an example you could share? This sounds like something that would be super useful for us.

Here is an article on content scrape from the knowledge base:

We agree this is important too! It's on our roadmap, and we will let you know when the work is scheduled.  Some questions about use. Can you tell us how often would you expect a program mailing to refer to/refresh external content? How often does your external content typically change? Would you use it potentially to update header/footer contents in all mailings?

Yes, we would potentially use if for all mailings (for header and footer). I would not foresee it changing often, more as a centralized way to change it across all templates at once. Note that it currently uses the personalization features on the landing pages we scrape so it's important that still works
