How will this idea be used?

When a user creates a query, the user can
1. create a query with a test database as a contact source
2. confirm the query works as expected
3. change the contact source from the test database to a production database
in order to avoid mis-operations.

Part of what makes this a challenge is that fields and their associated column IDs can differ between databases e.g. your test database vs your production database. We typically recommend that you create a test query from your main database, using for example, a field to identify Test contacts in addition to your other desired criteria. This allows you to then run tests with the criteria against test contacts. Once testing is complete, you can remove the test criteria or change to another query associated to the same parent database.

Question: If there was a rule to field mis-match after you changed from one database to another, how would you expect WCA to handle that scenario?

I will keep this open to watch for votes and prioritization.
